Toyota’s 1st ever InstaMeet built excitement around the 2014 RAV4 in combination with the 9th Worldwide InstaMeet Day. An InstaMeet is an organized meet-up where Instagrammers create and share content.
The purpose of this social outreach was to pre-heat the Toyota RAV4 summer campaign, "Let’s make today fun," which was released on national television two weeks later. We partnered with influencers @evelina (600k+ followers) & @mattbg (140k+ followers) to garner buzz around the day's event.
With a promotional photo shoot, social & video elements, the campaign was a success. The #LetsGoPlacesIM campaign fueled more than 200k total likes, over 1k new Toyota USA Instagram followers & 177 original photos on Instagram, all in one day.
